Indian Rapper King’s Prime Video Series ‘Lukkhe’ Sets Worldwide Premiere Date (EXCLUSIVE)

Entertainment

Prime Video has locked a worldwide premiere date for “Lukkhe,” an eight-episode musical action drama directed by Himank Gaur and produced by Vipul D. Shah and Rajesh Bahl under Optimystix Entertainment and White Guerrilla LLP.

Created and executive produced by Agrim Joshi and Debojit Das Purkayastha, “Lukkhe” is set against the rap culture and street rivalries of Chandigarh. The story follows two competing MCs – MC Badnaam and OG – whose feud weaves together revenge, ambition, and coming-of-age themes. The series’ central idea is distilled in the Hindi tagline: “Rap aur Badla, Dono Loud Hai” – loosely, rap and revenge are both loud.

The show’s leads include Raashii Khanna and rapper-songwriter King alongside Palak Tiwari and Lakshvir Singh Saran. The ensemble cast also features Nakul Roshan Sahdev, Kritika Bharadwaj, Shivankit Parihar – who plays rival rapper OG – Yograj Singh, and Ayesha Raza Mishra.

“At Prime Video, we believe in constantly raising the bar by experimenting with storytelling – whether it’s blending genres, exploring new formats, or championing unconventional narratives,” said Nikhil Madhok, director and head of originals at Prime Video India. “‘Lukkhe’ is a strong reflection of this vision, bringing together high-octane action with pulsating rap music, while seamlessly balancing pace with emotional intensity to create a truly distinctive world. At its heart, the series is a compelling story of revenge and redemption, driven by complex characters and the choices they make.”

“‘Lukkhe’ has been a true passion project for us – one that pushes beyond the conventions of a typical action drama,” added creators and executive producers Agrim Joshi and Debojit Das Purkayastha. “We set out to build a world where high-octane action, pulsating rap music, and raw, human emotions come together seamlessly.”

“Lukkhe” premieres exclusively on Prime Video on May 8. The series will be available in the Hindi language across India and more than 240 countries and territories.
