The accident happened around 13.00 in front of Sivasspor Facilities on Ankara-Erzincan highway in Gültepe neighborhood. The 58 T 0646 license plate taxi driven by Hasan Ö., who was taking the youth players to the facility, was hit by a car with 58 ABY 275 license plate driven by İsa Ü. The car caught fire from the vehicles that skidded with the impact of the impact. Health, fire brigade, AFAD and police teams were dispatched to the scene. In the accident, the drivers of both vehicles and Sivasspor’s U13 team players Ayaz Şentürk, Burak Şahin, Ebubekir Atıcı and Ahmet Talha Yılmaz were injured. The injured were first intervened by paramedics at the scene. The injured were then taken to ambulances and transferred to various hospitals in the city and taken under treatment. It is reported that Burak Şahin is in life-threatening condition.

In the statement, “In the traffic accident that occurred in front of our club facilities today, the vehicle in which 4 of our U13 team members who play in our infrastructure were involved in the accident. The health conditions of our athletes, who were on the move towards our facilities within the scope of their ball collector duties before the Istanbulspor match, were closely monitored by our medical teams immediately after the incident. Detailed checks on the general health conditions of our players, who underwent first interventions, are ongoing and our club is following the process meticulously. We would like to inform the public that we stand by our players and their families. Due to this sad incident, we convey our condolences to our players and their families and wish them to regain their health as soon as possible.”
