Trey DePriest, a former Alabama football standout, was arrested Thursday morning by the U.S. Marshals Service in connection with an alleged armed robbery in Detroit.

DePriest, 28, was wanted on charges filed Nov. 11, including armed robbery, assault, and felonious assault, according to records from 36th District Court. Authorities say the case originated in Detroit.

As of Thursday afternoon, he was being held in the Clark County Jail following his arrest in the 300 block of South Belmont Avenue, according to the Southern District of Ohio U.S. Marshals Office.

Officials said the armed robbery case remains under investigation, and authorities are still searching for a second suspect, identified as Adrian Chilton.

DePriest graduated from Springfield High School in 2011, where he starred as a linebacker for the Wildcats and earned Division I All-Ohio Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2010. He later continued his football career at the University of Alabama.
