Ahoy, Windsor: Join a rowdy singalong at the WindsorEats Food Hall (400 Erie St. E.) on Saturday, March 21. The Windsor Shanty Social, led by musical group Folk Around n’ Find Out, delivers sea shanties, East Coast anthems and East Coast favourites. The audience is encouraged to belt out the songs together. Lyric sheets are provided. Doors open at 6 p.m. Singalong kicks off at 7 p.m.

Spring refresh: Looking to upgrade your space this spring? The Windsor-Essex Home & Outdoor Living Expo 2026 brings together a wide range of local experts, including deck builders, pool servicer providers, and contractors, all under one roof. The expo takes place March 21 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the WFCU Centre banquet hall (8787 McHugh St.). While browsing, enjoy live music and giveaways. There’s always room for dessert: Indulge in the craft behind the sweet, Canadian staple. The second weekend of the Maple Syrup Festival arrives March 21 and 22 at John R. Park Homestead (915 Essex County Rd. 50). During Tasters’ Weekend, satiate your cravings with a variety of maple syrups, baked goods and local food vendors. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for kids and seniors, and $30 for families. Festivities run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. More details at essexregionconservation.ca.

Gallery visit: Drop in and check out new exhibits and displays at Art Windsor-Essex (401 Riverside Dr. W) in downtown Windsor. The gallery is open to the public on March 21 and 22 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $10, or free for members and children under the age of six. A hopping good time: The Kingsville Easter Market delivers an early dose of spring to Lakeside Park Pavilion (315 Queen St.) with more than 35 local vendors selling handmade goods, treats, and seasonable gifts from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 21. The event also includes a kid-friendly Easter egg hunt starting at 10 a.m., with prizes hidden inside each egg. Admission is free.

Eggs-traordinary! The Easter Bunny is making a stop at Average Joe’s banquet hall (1286 Lauzon Rd.) for a meet-and-greet on March 21. Kids can snap a photo with the guest of honour and take home a printed keepsake. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and also features crafts, games and themed treats. Door tickets are $5 per child and a maximum of $15 per family. No pre-registration required.

A little mischief: Said to dwell in the Detroit River region, the Nain Rouge — a mischievous red dwarf whose siting brings back luck — is the main character of Windsor’s fourth annual Festival Du Nain Rouge celebration on March 28. The spring festival turns the centuries-old French folklore into a lively celebration at Mill Street Park (3176 Russell St.) in Olde Sandwich Towne with music, dancing, singing and a kids’ activity corner from 1 to 6 p.m.
