Actor Tayo Amokade, popularly known as Ijebu, has called for decisive action against content creator King Mitchy following her alleged suicide attempt during a live broadcast on TikTok.

King Mitchy was said to have consumed harmful household substances during the livestream on Saturday, at the height of her ongoing feud with VeryDarkMan.

Her management later announced her death, a claim that triggered widespread outrage and renewed concerns over cyberbullying and the psychological pressures associated with online conflicts.

Reacting to the development, Ijebu expressed alarm over the potential impact of such content on teenage viewers. He stressed that household cleaning products are not meant for consumption and warned that their portrayal in online broadcasts could send dangerous signals to impressionable audiences.

The actor urged relevant authorities to investigate the incident and take appropriate measures against individuals who promote or dramatise self-harm on social media, noting the significant influence Gen Z content creators wield over young followers.

He said, “I want to pass this message to everybody, especially to our police. I’m begging the police in charge of social media, that are monitoring the use of social media that we have children between age 10 and 21 that have access to social media. I don’t know when hypo that is meant to bleach toilet, clothes or used to clean our house turned to a drink all in the name of I want to end all, I want to commit suicide, I’m depressed.

“So, if someone is now depressed, the solution is to take their life? I’m urging the police to take action against anyone attempting suicide because all this Gen z has a lot of followers. They are supposed to be role models, not a bad influence. Please I’m begging the police to take action against anyone that comes online all in the name of I want to end it all. She was seen during the Tiktok live drinking hypo in presence of her associates”, Ijebu lamented.
