Quantum Break Actor Celebrates 10th Anniversary Of The 2016 Xbox Console Exclusive

“One of the favourite projects I’ve ever worked on”

Can you believe it’s been 10 years since Quantum Break first released on Xbox One and PC?! The game officially arrived on April 5th, 2016, and even to this day, it remains an Xbox and PC exclusive.

This was developed by the talented minds at Remedy Entertainment, of course, and it starred none other than Shawn Ashmore (X-Men, The Rookie), who has taken to social media to mark the anniversary.

He even went as far as calling it one of his favourite projects he’s ever worked on!

“One of my favourite roles and one of the favourite projects I’ve ever worked on is turning 10 years old… I still get fan art, fan fiction… I think Quantum Break’s lasting appeal speaks volumes to how Remedy exists in the entertainment space.”

If you recall, Quantum Break tried something quite ambitious by incorporating both video game elements and episodic TV show-style elements, and even though it didn’t get unbelievable reviews, it remains a cult classic for many Xbox fans, as do the likes of Sunset Overdrive and Ryse: Son of Rome from the first few years of the Xbox One era.

For those who have never got around to it, there’s good news for you — Quantum Break is currently discounted down to just £7.19 / $9.99 as part of the Xbox Spring Sale 2026. Alternatively, it’s included as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass Premium.
