Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze ranks second for offensive duels won by wingers and midfielders in the English Premier League, Soccernet.ng reports.
Chukwueze joined Fulham from AC Milan on a season-long loan last summer, and he has proven to be a real catch.
Originally signed under an “obligation to buy” agreement, the 26-year-old winger has played his way into manager Marco Silva’s heart, and he now looks set to be retained permanently at the end of the campaign.
This season, the Super Eagles star has contributed three goals and four assists in 17 appearances for the Cottagers.
Most of his goal involvements came in the opening stages of the campaign. However, a new statistic has emerged showing that the Nigerian’s performances this season have been far from a fluke.
According to Data MB, a platform that compares players across various metrics, Chukwueze is the player with the second-highest number of offensive duels won in the Premier League this season.

Data from Data MB shows that Samuel Chukwueze is the winger/attacking midfielder with the second-highest percentage for duels won.
The only player in his position who ranks higher than Chukwueze is Anthony Gordon. Ranking below Chukwueze is Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, who is widely considered one of the best in the league.
Furthermore, Cody Gakpo and Jacob Murphy complete the top five in the English top flight.
This stat highlights that Chukwueze puts in immense effort and contributes much more than just goals. Statistics like these demonstrate how vital Chukwueze has become to Fulham’s setup.
