Iran-US-Israel War Live News Updates: The West Asia war enters fourth week as Trump delays Iran strikes, Abbas Araghchi rejects US proposal, and Pakistan mediates amid escalating attacks.

Iran-US-Israel War Live News Updates: The conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States continues to intensify across West Asia, as diplomatic efforts remain uncertain. Fresh strikes, counterattacks and political manoeuvring have kept tensions high as the war drags on for the fourth week.

US President Donald Trump has decided to postpone planned attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure for another 10 days, extending the pause until April 6. The move comes as Washington continues to claim that discussions with Tehran over a possible peace deal are progressing positively.

Trump said the talks were going “very well”, signalling that the US administration is still exploring diplomatic options despite the ongoing military escalation.

However, Iran has rejected a US-backed proposal aimed at halting the conflict and instead issued its own counterproposal. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi ruled out direct negotiations with Washington, stating that talks would not begin unless Tehran’s conditions are fulfilled. Speaking on state television, Araghchi said negotiations would be premature at this stage of the conflict.

Despite this stance, the United States has described ongoing exchanges with Iran as “productive”, although Tehran insists that indirect messaging does not amount to formal negotiations.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed that Islamabad is relaying messages between US and Iranian officials as part of mediation efforts, with Turkiye and Egypt also supporting the initiative.

On the battlefield, hostilities continue across several parts of the region. Iran claimed it had forced a US aircraft carrier group to reposition, while Israel said it carried out “wide-scale” strikes targeting multiple locations in Tehran.
