Bitesize Prediction: Inverness vs Queen of the South – 27/03/26

Soccer

Competition: Scottish League One

Market: Inverness win

Odds: 1/2 @ 1xBet

In what is a real showdown at the top of the League One table, Inverness will welcome Queen of the South to the Caledonian Stadium on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Inverness might have missed out on the opportunity to make a title statement last time out, Scott Kellacher’s side are still leading the chase at the top of the League One standings. Despite eventually settling for a 1-1 stalemate away at Alloa, the Jags have continued to impress since opening up the New Year. In fact, the third-tier title contenders are unbeaten in all of their 16 appearances across all competitions so far this calendar year. Securing respective 3-1 wins against Montrose and Peterhead this month, Inverness should also be excited by their extended dominance on home soil. On a run that stems all the way back to the middle of August, Kellacher’s men are unbeaten in all of their last 18 straight showdowns in front of their own supporters. It should also be highlighted, registering 36 points from their 15 League One appearances at the Caledonian Stadium this season and no team among Scotland’s third-tier can boast a better home tally this year.

As for the visitors, although Queen of the South might still be clinging to the final play-off place, Peter Murphy’s side are seeking some recent stability. Missing out on what they had billed as a potential opportunity last time out as they eventually had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate at home against East Fife, the Blues have registered just a single win from any of their previous eight League One appearances – a rut that stems back to January 24th. Signing off February with three consecutive defeats, Friday’s guests have also shown some extended defensive issues. Including a rollercoaster 3-2 defeat against Montrose last month, Murphy’s inconsistent squad have remarkably failed to register a single clean sheet from any of their previous 13 outings across all fronts. It should also be highlighted, Queen of the South have lost all of their previous three straight trips to the Caledonian Stadium by an aggregate score of 6-0.

Bet: Inverness 1/2 to beat Queen of the South in Friday’s Scottish League One matchup @ 1xBet
