Oyo APC Says LG Congress Shows Party’s Strength, Eyes Victory In 2027

APC Congress: Screening Committee Disqualifies Youth Leader Aspirants, Others

The All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo state has disclosed that it has been able to prove the bookmakers wrong with the outcomes of its Ward and Local Government Area Congresses which have been adjudged ‘largely peaceful and successful’ saying that the development was an indication that the Party would make good its promise to record overwhelming victories in the next general elections.

Following the successful conduct of its Congress across the 351 Wards in the state last Wednesday, Oyo APC replicated the feat today as its Congress in all the 33 Local Government Areas took place in an atmosphere of peace and harmony producing new set of Executive Committee members who would manage the affairs of the Party in the next four years.

In a statement issued on Saturday and made available to journalists in Ibadan by its Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, Oyo APC attributed the success of the congresses to the new understanding, passion and team spirit among members and leaders “who have vowed to completely bury their differences and work together as a team to facilitate all round victory for the party in future elections particularly those are happening next year.

“It is a thing of joy to us that all the stakeholders welcomed the idea of consensus as advanced by the leadership of our great Party at the centre. This made it mandatory for all tendencies to sit down together and forget a common front in most places. However, there are a few cases of disagreement among relevant stakeholders in some places and where this has happened, an adhoc committee is already in place to intervene and reconcile all the concerned persons and restore peace and unity.

“We are looking forward to March 3, when the State Congress will hold and immediately after that, the new set of Executive Committee members at all levels in the state would swing into action. A brand new Oyo APC is evolving and very soon, the whole world will be made to realize that we mean business and no impediment would be left to stand on our way to total victory in 2027 and beyond.” Sadare stated.
