The man had visited the shop pretending to be interested in some products, but he allegedly had a hidden agenda he planned to execute.

He was being served by a businesswoman who appeared friendly, unaware of what the customer was planning in her shop.

The lady wore an apron and had short dreadlocked hair as she interacted with the customer, who was allegedly plotting to steal.

From their interaction, they seemed to have a good rapport, and it appeared the encounter would proceed like a normal business transaction.

Nairobi woman chats with customer while on phone

The woman was on her phone, reportedly an Apple iPhone, while conversing with the male customer, who wore a black coat and hat.

He leaned on the counter, which was branded with images of the products the shop dealt in, as they continued talking.

The woman later placed her phone under the counter as she continued to engage the customer, who did not appear suspicious at first.

He scanned the shop with his eyes, biting his lower lip as the businesswoman focused her attention on him.

The man then took out a white piece of paper and handed it to the woman, who examined it closely. The paper appeared to contain information about the items the man wanted.

She slowly walked away from the counter while holding the paper and headed to the back of the shop to check for the products the customer had requested.

As soon as she turned her back on him, the man moved a few steps to the right, positioning himself near where the phone had been placed.

He quickly stretched out his hand, grabbed the phone, and immediately slipped it into his pocket as though nothing had happened.

He then continued watching the woman, who was removing the products he had requested and bringing them to the counter.

The man picked up one of the items and examined the box, inspecting its specifications as though he was genuinely interested in buying it.

He placed it aside as the woman reached for another item on the shelf and placed it on the counter.

The alleged thief then took out his own phone as the woman walked back to the shelf. While she was still picking some products, the man quietly walked out of the shop without saying anything, leaving the woman stunned.

Man’s quick response caught on home CCTV

In another separate story, home CCTV footage showed the moment a man’s speed and agility helped him escape danger.

He was sitting outside his home compound at night scrolling on his phone when suddenly a man approached him from the roadside.

The man who had been relaxing did not wait for the stranger to reach him. Instead, he quickly ran inside the compound and shut the black gate behind him.
