Don’t wait until the last minute to start learning a new skill for the new year. Skillshare is offering a free month to kickstart your goal.

Happy New Year! What are your New Year’s resolutions? I personally have two—get back into yoga and learn how to use Blender. Blender, in particular, is something I’ve been meaning to learn more about for years now. I’ve tried to make things or tweak game models within it in the past, but the program was so overwhelming that I never got far. Couple that with multiple guides assuming you know the very basics, and I gave up on learning more multiple times.

Thankfully, Skillshare can help with making these 2026 resolutions a reality. When searching for Blender on the learning site, I found over 700 classes on the software alone. That may sound overwhelming, but after working with the filters, I was able to narrow it down to just beginner-friendly courses with an average rating of four stars or higher, and I easily found courses specifically designed for complete beginners.

There were also some yoga courses, which I wasn’t really expecting, but now I can work on both of my resolutions at the same time, without having to research further.

Honestly, looking through Skillshare and finding classes makes me excited to get started—why wait when the classes are right there, ready for me to just hit play?

If you’re intrigued, you can try Skillshare for free. Right now, you can redeem a 31-day free trial and take as many classes as you want. After the trial, your subscription costs only $13.99 per month. Given how many streaming services continue to increase their prices, this is a great deal. Why not subscribe to a service that helps you learn instead?

So sign up for the free trial, find some courses you like, and get to learning. You won’t regret it.
