Bitesize Prediction: Salford City vs Barrow – 17/03/26

Soccer

Competition: League Two

Market: Salford City win

Odds: 4/7 @ BetUS

Two camps who are firmly scrapping it out at opposite ends of the League Two standings, Salford will welcome Barrow to Moor Lane on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Salford might have once again fallen short last season in the race to book a play-off ticket, Karl Robinson’s men are sat firmly in the driving seat this time around. Knowing that they can move within touching distance of the automatic promotion spots on Tuesday night, the former MK Dons boss will certainly be smelling a golden opportunity in midweek. Last seen over the weekend securing a 1-0 victory away at Harrogate, the Ammies find the mood in their camp at a red-hot high. Including another 1-0 win against Walsall last week, Salford have won all of their previous three consecutive League Two appearances by an aggregate score of 4-0. Likewise, registering 12 points from their previous five outings, Robinson’s side have also gained a recent reputation for their defensive grit. Recording a clean sheet in all of their last four victories, Salford are rightfully installed as a standout contender here.

As for the visitors, opening Tuesday’s fixtures sat in the drop zone, Barrow have a major battle on their hands in the race to keep hold of their Football League status in 2026. Eventually forced to settle for a 0-0 stalemate at home against Accrington Stanley, Sam Foley’s side are widely regarded as a standout relegation contender this season. Registering just two points from any of their previous six League Two appearances, Tuesday’s guests should be bracing themselves for another stern examination when they travel to Moor Lane in midweek. In fact, the Bluebirds have recorded just a single win from any of their 13 consecutive showdowns since opening the New Year. Drawing a blank in three of their last four appearances, Barrow have also claimed just a sole League Two victory on their travels since the middle of October. Two sides who are firmly scrapping it out at opposite ends of the table, we are backing a home victory here.

Bet: Salford City 4/7 to beat Barrow in Tuesday’s League Two matchup @ BetUS
