JRL Group has been awarded a £68.4m contract by Clarion Housing Group to deliver 180 affordable homes in Brent, north London.
The appointment followed Clarion’s completion of the land purchase at Stonebridge Park, providing a route to deliver a scheme near the existing Argenta House that had previously stalled.
Clarion secured the site through Argenta House (Stonebridge Park) LLP, a joint venture (JV) between Latimer, its development arm, and development partner Cervidae.
The JV obtained planning permission for a 100 per cent affordable housing scheme opposite Stonebridge Park tube station before Clarion took full ownership of the site.
Approved by Brent Council last November, the development will deliver 88 homes for social rent and 92 for shared ownership.
Assael Architecture designed the scheme, according to data intelligence provider Glenigan.
Clarion said it updated the plans to increase the number of homes on the site, including more family-sized accommodation, alongside public realm and connectivity improvements.
Construction is scheduled to start in March 2026, with completion expected in early 2030.
JRL Group director Kevin Keegan said the £785m-turnover contractor had been appointed to deliver “much-needed housing in a sustainable location with great transport links”.
Clarion group development officer Richard Cook said: “By now acquiring the site and moving directly into a construction contract, we are ensuring this long-stalled scheme becomes a deliverable project.
“Taking full ownership of the site allows Clarion to ensure these homes remain affordable for generations to come.”
