Royal Park Hotel Reveals Newly Reimagined Look Following Sweeping Property-wide Renovation

Royal Park Hotel unveils the completion of a comprehensive, multi-million-dollar renovation that reimagines the beloved property with refreshed guest rooms, redesigned event spaces and reenergized public areas, introducing a more refined and contemporary experience in the heart of downtown Rochester, just outside Detroit.

Inspired by the natural elegance and quiet romance of an English garden in full bloom, the property-wide transformation elevates the hotel’s overall look and feel while preserving its timeless charm. Guided by a “bud to blossom” design concept, the renovation layers soft floral wallcoverings, lush greenery and serene color palettes throughout the hotel. The Gettys Group led design and architectural elements. The result is a light-filled, welcoming atmosphere that reflects the property’s natural surroundings, including its location along Paint Creek.

Each of the hotel’s 143 guest rooms and suites has been fully refreshed, including a significant collection of spacious suites designed to accommodate longer stays, celebrations and group travel. The updated accommodations offer an elegant, layered aesthetic, paired with thoughtful in-room amenities that cater to both leisure and business travelers.

Public spaces throughout the hotel have also been reimagined, including the Library, where guests can enjoy coffee by the fireplace while browsing a curated collection of modern design, art, and featured titles. The Conservatory, hand-constructed in Belgium and assembled on site, is a highly sought-after gathering space filled with natural light and designed to showcase the hotel’s garden-inspired aesthetic, serving as a backdrop for events, celebrations, and seasonal programming.

In addition to guest accommodations, the hotel’s ballroom and redesigned meeting and event spaces have been thoughtfully updated to serve weddings, corporate meetings, conferences, and social gatherings. Beyond private events, Royal Park Hotel is known for its robust calendar of on-property programming, including formal afternoon teas, seasonal celebrations, and holiday events spanning Easter through Christmas, which have become community favorites.

Located steps from downtown Rochester’s shops, dining, and cultural attractions, and near Auburn Hills and Detroit, Royal Park Hotel continues to serve as a cornerstone of the community while offering a peaceful retreat along Paint Creek.

More than a renovation, the reimagined Royal Park Hotel invites guests to wander, linger, and rediscover a destination designed to grow, recharge, and come into full bloom.
