Iowa women's basketball signee projected to McDonald's All-American Game roster

Basketball

As she continues to shine in her senior season for No. 3 Archbishop Mitty, MaxPreps’ Aaron Williams has listed Iowa women’s basketball signee McKenna Woliczko in his projection for the 2026 McDonald’s All-American Game roster.

While Williams did not elaborate on the decision-making behind his projections, he did split them into two lists: “Who should make it” and “who will make it.”

According to Williams, Woliczko’s reputation as one of the nation’s top women’s basketball prospects and spectacular play since her Jan. 2 return from a nearly year-long recovery from an ACL and meniscus tear earned her a spot on both indexes.

The nomination by Williams is yet another honor for the 6-foot-2 native of San Bruno, Calif., who already has been named to MaxPreps’ National Player of the Year watch list, the Naismith Trophy Girls High School Player of the Year Midseason Team, and the 2026 Team USA Junior Women’s Basketball Nike Hoops Summit roster.

Through eight games this season for the Monarchs, Woliczko is averaging 20.6 points and 10.8 rebounds, with 25-point performances in her last two games (three total) and five double-doubles.

Woliczko is a five-star signee and Iowa’s highest-ranked since Caitlin Clark, ranking as the No. 6 player nationally, the No. 2 power forward, and the No. 2 player from California, per 247Sports.

The McDonald’s All American Game rosters are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, as the committee selects 24 of the top high school basketball players in the Class of 2026 for the annual showcase. However, Woliczko’s continued dominance on the court should make her an almost a no-brainer for the selection committee.
