What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I’d say I always loved football. But what really made me decide I wanted to play was when I was a sophomore in high school and my brother was a senior on the same team and he started getting looked at by colleges and just seeing him get looked at made me realize that it’s possible for me too. So from then on i just worked at it to be as possibly good as I could be and then I ended up going to play college football and continued to play.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

I would have to say my senior year of high school in the semifinals of the playoffs and there’s a team with a good running back and they’re going for a 2 point conversion because there’s no time left, so if we stopped them we’d win and if they get it they’d win and then I ended up making a pretty big tackle to keep them from scoring the conversion. I’d say this year at Wyoming, I had a pick six that I got to take at War Memorial stadium and that was pretty cool coming from a Division Two school we didn’t have a lot of fans or anything, so that was a highlight of my career.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

Continuing to grow and be the best that I can be. I think I will go and play at the next level. Just working and getting better and that’s what just drives me is  continuing to get better and better and learning more about the game and being the best I can possibly be.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

I’m going to go with Ray Lewis just because growing up I always watched Ray Lewis highlights and I’m just a big fan of the way he played the game with the aggression and physicality he played with. i just look up to it in a way and want to mimic the way i play after him so I think it would be cool just to have a conversation with him.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

It’s hard to pick one because I have five siblings and they all inspire me in different ways but If I have to pick one it would be my brother Ethan. He’s actually who I live with so growing up my parents they are kind of off doing their thing but Ethan he kind of stepped up and started his own business and we live with him and everything and he provides everything so I think just his work ethic and how he does things and I really look up and it inspires me.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

I’d say the one we ran at Wyoming. At the Division Two school I was at we had a three down front and that let a lot of offensive linemen get up to you and when you get four defensive linemen down there you are a little bit more protected so I would say a four down front.

What should we know about Brayden Johnson the person?

I’m always constantly looking for ways to get better not only on the field but off the field being a better person. living my life the way the good Lord wants us to live and that’s a constant battle and that I’m constantly trying to do better and just be the best human as possible while being the best football player as possible as well.

What stands out about your film the most?

What stands out about my film the most is just how hard I play, I’m constantly running to the ball playing with everything I have my strength and size. I think I bring a lot to the table in that area, the way I get off blocks and fight off offensive linemen.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I always just sit down and think and pray about it. Talk to God and see what his plan for me is and then I’ll talk to some people like my brothers and ask for some advice from them.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Somebody that’s going to give it their all for the team that wants the best for the team and not themselves.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I love just being able to be out there and be yourself, getting to play and have fun and doing what you love.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Evan Eller, that dude is an animal. I don’t think that he gets near the amount of recognition that he deserves but he’s an extremely good dude on and off the field and pushes everybody to get in the film room and watch film and pushing us in the weight room. he’s a really good dude and a really good football player.
