Marquis Who’s Who Honors Earl W. Molin for Expertise in Construction

He has demonstrated expertise in testing and quality assurance, providing critical recommendations to improve product samples based on rigorous analysis.

MORA, MN, December 12, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ — Earl W. Molin has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Molin has established a distinguished reputation in the gravel industry, most recently serving as owner of EGT Certified Gravel Testing since 2016. In this capacity, he has demonstrated expertise in testing and quality assurance, providing critical recommendations to improve product samples based on rigorous analysis. His responsibilities include suggesting adjustments for contractors to enhance product quality, recognizing variability in materials and striving to achieve the closest possible match through comprehensive testing. He regularly tests materials for five to six contractors, ensuring their products meet customer expectations and modern specifications. By sampling and analyzing products according to contractor requirements, he supports these businesses in maintaining the standards necessary for successful resale and customer satisfaction.

Prior to founding his own business, Mr. Molin accumulated nearly 35 years of experience in gravel crushing, beginning in 1978. At that time, he was married with children and facing uncertainty about his employment future when a friend offered him a position at a local company. Accepting the opportunity, he quickly became dedicated to the field, developing a deep understanding of the industry’s demands and intricacies. After retiring from his initial role, Mr. Molin was motivated by a desire to remain active and productive, leading him to purchase equipment from his previous employers and launch EGT Certified Gravel Testing.

Throughout his career, Mr. Molin has been recognized for building positive relationships with colleagues and clients alike. He is particularly proud of the enduring friendships he has maintained with former coworkers, often gathering for coffee long after their professional paths diverged. These relationships are a testament to his collaborative spirit and commitment to mentorship. He frequently advises younger workers that experience is his greatest asset, emphasizing humility and continuous learning over hierarchy or superiority. His expertise has made him a sought-after professional in the field, with many attempting to recruit him due to his knowledge and reliability.

Mr. Molin attributes much of his personal and professional growth to overcoming significant challenges earlier in life. Raised by a single mother after his father’s departure during infancy, he found guidance and support from an influential father figure as he matured. In addition, Mr. Molin’s journey through alcoholism and subsequent sobriety profoundly shaped his outlook, instilling humility and reinforcing the importance of leading by example rather than instruction.
While Mr. Molin’s career achievements are rooted in hands-on experience rather than formal academic degrees, his practical knowledge and adaptability have been instrumental in his success within the gravel industry.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Molin is actively involved in civic-minded initiatives such as donations and fundraising events. He also dedicates time to teaching Taekwondo—a discipline he began at age 61 alongside his youngest daughter Becky—demonstrating both perseverance and a commitment to lifelong learning. Their shared passion for Taekwondo has strengthened their bond over nearly a decade of practice together. Mr. Molin holds a third-degree black belt and received an acknowledgment award (black belt) from Korea in recognition of his accomplishments.

In his personal life, Mr. Molin is the father of seven children, with ages ranging from 23 to 53 years old. He continues to enjoy Taekwondo as one of his primary interests and remains committed to supporting others through mentorship and community involvement. Looking ahead, he intends to pursue his passions for as long as possible, maintaining an active lifestyle while embracing the realities of aging with optimism and resilience. He values helping others whenever possible and approaches each day with gratitude for the opportunities he has been given throughout his life and career.
