Deputies were called to the 1500 block of 26th Street around 9 p.m. following reports of a shooting.

The victim, later identified as Lil’raylin Harrison, was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, according to the sheriff’s office. Harrison was a football player at Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando. He was also part of the 7-on-7 team the Florida Bombers.

His death marks the fourth fatal shooting involving a teenager in Central Florida since Dec. 24.

On Christmas Eve, authorities say 17-year-old Jamar Jerome was shot and killed at a condominium complex off PGA Boulevard in Orlando.

A day later, on Christmas Day, a 13-year-old girl was fatally shot in the Pine Hills neighborhood. The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. in the 2200 block of Okada Court, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators said a 15-year-old boy told deputies the shooting was accidental.

The third shooting happened later that night in Deltona. The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office reported that 17-year-old Brenden Watkins was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 2000 block of El Campo Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Please pray for Central Florida, and the families who have lost their children.
