Yunus Musah earned his first start for Atalanta in three months on Sunday and now aims to earn a regular role for the remainder of the Serie A season.
Musah played 90 minutes on Sunday in Atalanta’s 1-0 win over Genoa, which marked his first start for the club since September 17. The U.S. men’s national team midfielder has found playing time hard to come by since joining on loan from AC Milan, but looks to have a new opportunity to rack up the starts in Raffaele Palladino’s squad.
The 23-year-old won nine duels, completed two dribbles, and made three tackles against Genoa, finishing as one of the top performers. With upcoming matches against Inter Milan and AS Roma coming up, Musah could surely do his confidence a major boost with back-to-back starts against two of Serie A’s top teams.
