In 2025, change was the only certainty. With President Donald Trump returning to the White House, policy decisions made under former President Joe Biden were suddenly subject to reversal. That meant some of the former administration’s signature infrastructure legislation, including the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, hung in limbo, at least temporarily.
In the meantime, a renewed focus on water infrastructure also meant a groundswell of demand in the sector, while megaprojects that were already in motion proved hard to stop with the stroke of a pen. Here, Construction Dive rounds up some of the biggest infrastructure news stories of the year.
