Baltimore Ravens vs New England Patriots | Sunday Night Football | Week 16 Preview & Prediction

Drake Maye, TreVeyon Henderson, Mike Vrabel and the New England Patriots face Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, John Harbaugh and the Baltimore Ravens in a huge AFC matchup on Sunday Night Football. The Patriots chances of getting the 1 seed in the playoffs took a huge hit last week with their loss to Josh Allen and the Bills and the Broncos win over the Packers which put them a game behind Denver and added a conference loss.

The Ravens have been erratic all year, but they may be catching New England at the best possible time, coming off their first loss in over 2 months and they could catch them with their confidence not at it’s peak. Roquan Smith has been a stalwart and he is a key player to watch in this game to try and contain the speed of Henderson if that is possible, but also he will have the duties of covering Hunter Henry who has been one of Maye’s favorite targets.

Mark Andrews is another tight end who will be key in this game, Zay Flowers is the clear number 1 target for Lamar his matchup with Christian Gonzalez will be awesome to watch as will Ronnie Stanley vs Harold Landry. The question remains, who can step up as a receiving threat in key moments down the stretch in these last 3 games against very tough opponents to get the Ravens at least 2 wins, which is what they need to make the Playoffs.

For Drake Maye and the Patriots the backs have been great with Rahmondre Stevenson splitting time with the Ohio State Buckeye Henderson and his targets have been dispersed exceptionally well between Mack Hollins, Stefon Diggs and Kayshon Boutte, all 3 at some point will have to separate from Marlon Humphrey (still a very good corner) as well as the rookie Malaki Starks or the All-Pro Kyle Hamilton. Look for the rookie Mike Green to potentially have a huge impact on this game as he develops as an up and coming young edge defender.

The Milton Williams injury and Will Campbell injury have been significant to the trenches for the Patriots, they are hoping both are fully healthy as they look to make a Playoff run. This is a huge game stakes for both the AFC North and AFC East as with a loss the Bills would be tied with the Patriots with a win vs the Browns and the Steelers could runaway with the North if they beat the Lions and Baltimore falls.
