His first English language album…

Fredrik Norlindh has shared his debut English-speaking pop album ‘Contrasting Notes’.

The songwriter is part of the Great Swedish Pop Lineage, with the Stockholm artist tapping in the same wellspring that forged the imaginations of everyone from ABBA to Robyn. Deeply adult pop music, Fredrik luxuriates in sound, utilising broad arrangements and refulgent vocals.

Moving into an English language sphere, new album ‘Contrasting Notes’ finds Fredrik Norlindh living out his dreams.

Shadows of Depeche Mode flicker amongst his synth tones, while you can also detect the operatic impulses of Muse, say.

Held together with real wit and an in-depth knowledge of pop lore, ‘Contrasting Notes’ is a joyous 11-song exposition.

Fredrik Norlindh comments…

“‘Contrasting Notes’ is a name that perfectly captures the way I approached my lyrics and music. With the risk of sounding as over-the-moon confident as Pelle from the Hives, I imagined my album as if it had been written by a dream songwriting team: John Williams conducting the symphony, Jim Steinman leading the choirs, Martin L. Gore crafting unexpected synth harmonies, Michael Jackson adding percussive magic, Timbaland laying inventive beats, Andrew Lloyd Webber weaving storytelling melodies, Max Martin crafting irresistible hooks, Muse embracing fearless extravagance, and Lady Gaga able to topline any vocal style.”

Tune in now.
