Steelers 2026 QB Stock Watch: Week 10 College Football Report

Football

Starting a new series here at Steelers Depot, where we will analyze top college quarterback performances weekly, including how their draft stock changes ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft.

INDIANA QB FERNANDO MENDOZA — STOCK NEUTRAL

The Indiana Hoosiers beat down the Maryland Terrapins 55-10. QB #15 Fernando Mendoza had a relatively quiet day at the office as Indiana’s rushing attack generated 367 yards and four rushing touchdowns. Still, Mendoza completed 66.7 percent of his passes for 201 yards with a touchdown and an interception, along with 24 yards and a rushing score. Mendoza threw a bad interception to open the game, but bounced back and took care of the football in another blowout for Indiana.

BAYLOR QB SAWYER ROBERTSON — STOCK UP

One quarterback who has risen a ton this season in the draft community is Baylor QB #13 Sawyer Robertson. He has been on a tear in 2025 and engineered a 30-3 win over UCF on Saturday. Robertson completed 72.5 percent of his passes for 267 yards with three touchdowns to zero interceptions. This gives him 2,780 yards with 26 touchdowns to seven interceptions on the season. The 6-4, 220-pound Robertson has been productive in Baylor’s high-octane passing attack, looking increasingly like one of the better prospects in the draft class this season.

MIAMI (FL) QB CARSON BECK — STOCK SOLD

The Miami Hurricanes lost to the SMU Mustangs 26-20 in overtime. QB #11 Carson Beck looked shaky in the game, throwing two picks. Otherwise, he completed 68.4 percent of his passes for 274 yards and two touchdowns while not getting sacked in the contest. Beck has failed to take care of the football this season, having thrown nine interceptions to this point. He looks far more like the guy who struggled last year than the player who was dubbed the potential #1 overall pick after the 2023 season. Beck is likely to be a mid-to-late Day 3 pick should he declare this spring.

ARKANSAS QB TAYLEN GREEN — STOCK NEUTRAL

Things have gone from bad to worse for QB #10 Taylen Green and the Arkansas Razorbacks, losing seven-straight games. This streak includes a loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday, 38-35. Green completed 61.8 percent of his passes for 194 yards with one touchdown and zero interceptions while also rushing for 46 yards and a touchdown on the ground, while getting sacked three times. Green has flashed his upside as a dual threat as well as with his big arm, but his team hasn’t been good much of the year, and he hasn’t managed to will his team to a victory in a big-time game.

OKLAHOMA QB JOHN MATEER — STOCK NEUTRAL

The Oklahoma Sooners went into Knoxville and knocked off the Tennessee Volunteers 33-27. QB #10 John Mateer managed to lead his team to a win without throwing a touchdown, completing 65.5 percent of his passes for 159 yards with one interception. He also carried the ball 16 times for 81 yards and a score on the ground.

This hasn’t been the statistical season you want from Mateer as a prospect. He can do a better job taking care of the football, but his legs and ability to run the football helped him and his team go into a hostile environment and walk away with the win.

SOUTH CAROLINA QB LANORRIS SELLERS — STOCK DOWN

The South Carolina Gamecocks lost to the Ole Miss Rebels 30-14. QB #16 LaNorris Sellers looked scattershot at times throughout the contest. He completed 53.3 percent of his passes for 180 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. He also rushed for a score and took six sacks.

Sellers’ touchdown throw was a beautiful deep ball, but he missed several receivers badly throughout the game. His turnovers also ended any chance at a comeback. Sellers would be wise to return to school or enter the transfer portal to continue developing. He is not ready for the speed of the NFL game at this juncture.

CLEMSON QB CADE KLUBNIK — STOCK UP

The Clemson Tigers lost to the Duke Blue Devils 46-45. QB #2 Cade Klubnik managed to have a good game in a back-and-forth affair where neither defense could get a stop. He completed 75 percent of his passes for 385 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Klubnik benefitted from a running game that rushed for 175 yards and four scores on the ground. Still, he looks much better than he did at the start of his season, even in the loss.
