Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Nifty may open around 25,100; PSU banks in focus

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty 50 index heads into the mid-week trading session on the back of a four-day winning run. From the September 30 low to the October 7 high, the index had surged over 630 points, which led to some “buyers exhaustion” at higher levels, triggering some profit booking towards the close of trade on Tuesday. However, the index managed to defend 25,100 on the downside, and this 25,050 – 25,100 zone could act as a support for the index.

The Nifty Bank too fell nearly 300 points from the highs, but managed to gain for the sixth day running. Today’s session will see a reaction to business updates from stocks like Titan, Godrej Consumer, a reaction from newly listed Shringaar House of Mangalsutra and Vedanta’s NCLT hearing for its much-awaited demerger. The broader markets saw a weak advance-decline for the second straight day and stock-specific activity will be a key monitorable.

Today is also the final day of subscription for the Tata Capital IPO and the second day for LG Electronics India. It would be no surprise if investors choose to remain cautious with TCS and Tata Elxsi kickstarting the earnings season from tomorrow.
