The Flying Eagles of Nigeria are set to take on Colombia in their final Group F game as they look to secure a place in the knockout phase of the U-20 FIFA World Cup, Soccernet.ng reports.

Aliyu Zubairu’s boys lost their Group opener against Norway by a lone goal, before securing a 94th-minute winner courtesy of a Daniel Bameyi spot kick.

Tonight, at the Estadio Fiscal de Talca, they face top-of-the-group Colombia, who have yet to lose a game, and Nigeria needs at least one point from tonight’s fixture to stand a chance of qualifying for the next round.

The kickoff time is set for 12:00 AM West African time, and it promises to be a competitive encounter as both teams will be looking to show their quality.

Soccer Colombia vs Nigeria: Head-to-Head

Nigeria and Colombia have never met at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, but both sides met in a friendly fixture two years ago, with the result being a 3-3 draw.

Coming into the game, the Colombians have the better form as they’re unbeaten in their last five games, winning three and drawing two.

On the flip side, Nigeria have lost two of their last five games, winning two, losing two, and playing out one draw.

Soccer Predictions

One thing is clear for both these sides, and that’s to avoid losing tonight. This might affect their approach to the clash, but it could also be one of those games that goes on and tactics get out the window, coming down to who wants it more.

I predict a draw, but with goals from both sides, most likely a 2-2 outcome from the game tonight.
