Galway, Clare, Limerick, Kerry and Cork are set to feel the worst of the wet weather.

THERE’S HEAVY RAIN on the way for counties in the west, with Met Éireann issuing a status yellow warning for tomorrow evening.

There will be heavy spells of blustery rain overnight in the mid-west and south-west, bringing the risk of difficult travelling conditions, poor visibility and localised flooding.

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow warning for counties Galway, Clare, Limerick, Kerry and Cork, kicking in at 6pm tomorrow and continuing until 3am on Wednesday morning.

The national forecast is for clear spells this evening and only isolated showers, with dry weather set to continue into tomorrow morning.

However, rain will spread northeastwards tomorrow afternoon, Met Éireann has forecast.
