Victor Osimhen suffered an ankle injury during the international break with Nigeria…

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has returned to training at Galatasaray, two weeks after suffering an ankle injury, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen suffered a blow to his ankle in Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Rwanda two weeks ago.

That made him leave the Super Eagles camp early to return to Galatasaray and receive treatment.

Since the end of the international break, the 26-year-old striker has missed Galatasaray’s last two games against Eyupspor and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Soccernet.ng also reported that the Cimbom are handling Osimhen’s issue with extra care and could delay his return until the end of September, to let him heal properly.

Now, it appears that the Super Eagles star is very close to returning to action for Galatasaray. This is as the club shared pictures of Osimhen in training with the rest of his teammates on Sunday, ahead of their Super Lig fixture against Konyaspor at Rams Park on Monday.

According to Ajansspor, Victor Osimhen participated in some of the training drills with his teammates and did some personal work. But he is not expected to play for the Cimbom when they play Konyaspor.

However, his return to training is definitely a good sign, as it shows that he is very close to returing to the pitch for Galatasaray.

Osimhen’s return would definitely give the reigning champions of Turkey a big boost in the Super Lig and the UEFA Champions League.
