Tolu Arokodare completed his transfer to Wolves on transfer deadline day….

Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare risks losing his starting shirt to Jorgen Strand Larsen in Wolves’ Premier League fixture against Leeds Unuted at the Molineux on Saturday, Soccernet.ng reports.

Arokodare completed a €26 million transfer from Genk to Wolves on transfer deadline day, and he was thrown right into the thick of things in his first game last week.

The Nigerian striker started for the club in their Premier League fixture against Newcastle United last week, as the first-choice striker Jorgen Strand Larsen was dealing with an injury. Although he did not score, he put up a good showing.

However, going into Wolves’ next game against Leeds United on Saturday, coach Vitor Pereira could start Arokodare from the bench.

Soccer Why Tolu Arokodare Might Start From The Bench

The major reason coach Vitoria Pereira handed Tolu Arokodare a start last week was due to Jorgen Strand Larsen’s injury.

However, new reports suggest that Strand Larsen could be back in Wolves lineup when they welcome newly-promoted Leeds to the Molineux, as he is now fit.

The Norwegian is the top striker at Wolves, so he is odds on favourites to start if he is deemed 100 percent fit.

However, coach Pereira likes to play two strikers at the same time, so Arokodare can fancy his chances of starting alongside his Norwegian teammate or even appearing from the bench at least.

Wolves are yet to win a Premier League game this season. But they will be hoping that they can nick one over Leeds.
