Vivo has unveiled its latest camera-focused mid-range smartphone, the Vivo V60, in India. The V60 comes with three 50 MP Zeiss cameras, a 120 Hz AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, and a large 6,500 mAh battery that supports 90 W wired charging. The device has an IP68 and IP69 rating and comes in multiple color options.

Vivo introduced the V50 smartphone earlier this year. Now, after a few months, the camera-centric smartphone manufacturer, Vivo, has unveiled a new Vivo V60 smartphone, a direct successor to the V50. The company’s new camera-focused V60 mid-range smartphone brings significant upgrades over the predecessor in terms of processor, camera, and battery life.

Speaking of the processor, the Vivo V60 is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor coupled with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage with no room for storage expansion. Software-wise, it runs Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15 out of the box, and Vivo promises four major OS upgrades (Android 16, 17, 18, and 19) and six years of security updates until 2031.

The battery life of the smartphone is slightly bigger than before. The V60 boasts a large 6,500 mAh battery with support for 90 W wired charging (Anker Prime GaN USB-C 100 W charger curr. $59.99 on Amazon). Unfortunately, there’s no wireless charging support here. As for the rear camera setup, the smartphone now comes with a Zeiss-tuned triple rear camera setup, a step up from the dual rear camera setup of the V50. The triple rear camera consists of a 50 MP Sony IMX882 OIS-enabled telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a 50 MP Sony IMX766 primary camera with OIS, and an 8 MP ultrawide shooter.

The Vivo V60 retains the same 6.77-inch AMOLED quad-curved FHD+ display as the last-generation model. The panel has a peak brightness of 5,000 nits, another upgrade from the predecessor, but the refresh rate remains the same at 120 Hz. Upfront, it has a 50 MP Zeiss-backed front camera for selfies and video chats. Other highlights include an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance rating, a rear fill light with dual color temperature, and up to 12 GB expandable RAM.

The Vivo V60 starts at INR 36,999 ($425) for the base 8 GB + 128 GB variant, the 8 GB + 256 GB model costs INR 38,999 ($445), and the top-of-the-line 16 GB + 512 GB model is priced at INR 45,999 ($525). Available in mist gray, moonlit blue, and auspicious gold colorways, the V60 will go on sale in India via Vivo India’s official website and other authorized retail stores starting August 19.
