Flutter Entertainment has announced the appointment of Stefan Bomhard to its board of directors. The new hire will serve as a non-executive director (NED), bringing significant experience to the gambling company’s team.

The Company Appoints a New NED

According to Flutter Entertainment’s official announcement, Bomhard joins the company from Imperial Brands, where he serves as chief executive officer and executive director. Flutter explained that Bomhard is set to step down from his CEO position on September 30. On December 31, 2025, Bomhard will also step down from the executive director role.

Flutter said that Bomhard’s prior experiences include a number of worldwide senior positions, including CEO of Inchcape, as well various roles at the likes of Bacardi Limited, Cadbury plc, Unilever Food Solutions Europe, Diageo plc (Burger King) and Procter & Gamble.

Bomhard is also currently serving as a NED of Compass Group.

Flutter’s board of directors confirmed that the appointee will join its team on October 1, 2025.

Flutter Entertainment’s board chair, John Bryant, said that the appointment aligns with the company’s ongoing board renewal process. He added that Flutter found Bomhard following an “extensive search” and was happy to designate him as its latest non-executive director due to his expertise.

Plaintiff Withdraws Class Action Against FanDuel

The complaint alleged violations California’s Unfair Competition Law, the Consumer Legal Remedies Act, and the state’s criminal code. However, the plaintiff has now decided to drop the case, although this decision might only be temporary.
