Three Arrested in Shooting of FSU Linebacker Ethan Pritchard; One Suspect Still Wanted

Authorities have made three arrests in connection with the shooting of Florida State University football player Ethan Pritchard.

The arrests followed a series of simultaneous search warrants executed early Wednesday across Gadsden and Leon counties. According to the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office, four warrants were served in total — three in Gadsden County and one in Leon County — with assistance from the Leon County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Sheriff Young said investigators are still searching for one additional suspect. The group is also believed to be connected to another shooting in Havana just five days before the attack on Pritchard.

Pritchard, a true freshman linebacker from Sanford, Florida, was shot on the evening of August 31 near the Havana Heights Apartments. He joined the Seminoles this season as part of FSU’s 2025 recruiting class.

More details are expected to be released at a press conference Wednesday afternoon.
