Soccer Inter Miami’s Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez has been banned for three league matches for spitting in the League Cup final against the Seattle Sounders on August 31.
The American Soccer League (MLS) announced that Inter Miami’s Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez has been banned for three league matches for spitting during the League Cup final against the Seattle Sounders on August 31.‘3-MATCH BAN’“MLS announced the disciplinary penalties for the incidents following the 2025 League Cup Final between the Seattle Sounders and Inter Miami. Luis Suarez (Inter Miami) has been banned for 3 matches in the MLS regular season.”
‘6 MATCHES’The Inter Miami forward will miss the MLS matches against Charlotte FC on September 13, Seattle Sounders on September 16 and DC United on September 20. The MLS decision comes after the League Cup Disciplinary Committee handed Suarez a six-match ban from the League Cup for his behavior after the final whistle. Thus, Suarez was banned from 3 matches in MLS and 6 matches in the League Cup.After Inter Miami lost 3-0 to the Sounders in the League Cup final, Suarez spat at a member of the opposing team’s technical staff on the pitch.
