“Heaven didn’t need my daughter” – Shebeshxt’s partner Kholofelo Moloto on losing daughter

Kholofelo Moloto, the partner of musician Shebeshxt, has once again shared her pain over the loss of their daughter, Onthatile Chuene, who passed away in 2024.

The businesswoman and content creator took to her TikTok account on Tuesday, 2 September 2025, where she admitted that she is still struggling to cope more than a year after the tragedy.

In one of her emotional posts, Moloto wrote: “When you see me crying, just let me be, because I don’t think heaven needed my daughter more than she needs me!”

Her words touched many South Africans, with fans and followers flooding her comment section to comfort her.

Others commended her bravery for speaking openly about her grief and keeping her daughter’s memory alive.

This is not the first time Moloto has shared her heartbreak publicly.

On the first anniversary of Onthatile’s passing in June 2025, she penned a touching tribute.

“8 amazing, wonderful, and precious years with you and 1 year without you. I miss you so much, and I can’t find the words to explain. I replay this day in my head over and over, wishing and hoping the outcome would be different.”

Her posts come just weeks after Shebeshxt himself reflected on the pain of losing his daughter, showing that the family is still deeply affected by her untimely death.
