Gov. Sani Appoints Kure As new MD, Kaduna Media Corporation

News Investigators/ Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has appointed Ben Kure as the new Managing Director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC).

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mr Kure replaces Ahmed Maiyaki, who was recently appointed Commissioner for Information.

This is contained in a statement issued in Kaduna on Sunday by Sani’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa.

According to the statement, Mr Kure is expected to build on the foundation laid by Maiyaki, whose leadership transformed KSMC into a strategic platform for effective public information dissemination and management.

Describing the new MD as a public communication expert and political strategist, the statement said, Kure brings extensive experience from both public service and the banking sector.

Mr Kure previously served as Chairman of Jaba Local Government Area from 2016 to 2017, Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) between 2018 and 2019, and Special Adviser on Political Matters to the governor from 2019 to 2021.

Before joining politics, he held several key positions in the banking industry, including Branch Manager at Oceanic Bank/Ecobank between 2010 and 2012, Team Leader at Zenith Bank from 2005 to 2006, and Team Leader (Public Sector) at Broad Bank between 2003 and 2004.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Conflict, Peace and Strategic Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Planning.

Mr Kure is also a corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and a member of the Institute of Management Consultants (MIMC).

The statement added that Mr Sani congratulated Kure on his appointment and wished him divine guidance and protection as he assumes his new role.
