Citizen is releasing two brand new Eco-Drive limited editions in October 2025 for its 30th anniversary, sporting washi paper dials, Super Titanium cases, and only 400 units each worldwide.

Citizen is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its “The Citizen” line with the release of two limited-edition models this coming October. Both watches are based on the brand’s Iconic Nature Collection, fitted with Citizen’s high-accuracy Eco-Drive technology.

The new models, reference AQ4103-16W and AQ4100-22A, are each limited to 400 pieces worldwide. They feature Citizen’s Eco-Drive movement Cal.A060, which has an annual accuracy of ±5 seconds. Running on light power, the watches can operate for up to 18 months in power-save mode and include a perpetual calendar with an independently adjustable hour hand. Water resistance is rated at 10 bar.

Both watches use dials made of Japanese washi paper, which is a material tied to traditional ink drawings and calligraphy. The AQ4103-16W is inspired by the glow of a sunset, with a black washi dial accented by gold leaf and kasure brushstroke patterns. It is housed in a Super Titanium case finished with Duratect Amber Yellow, alongside a brown crocodile strap certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG).

The AQ4100-22A signifies dawn breaking over fresh snow. Its gray dial uses platinum leaf applied through the traditional Sunago-maki technique, which creates a frosted texture that mimics winter landscapes. The case is finished in Duratect Platinum and fitted with a gray crocodile strap, also LWG-certified.

Each case measures 38.3mm in diameter and 12.3mm in thickness, fitted with dual-sphere sapphire glass treated with anti-reflective coating. Priced at $3,300 for the AQ4103-16W and $3,200 for the AQ4100-22A, both models are scheduled for launch in October 2025.
