Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has stated that his target is to win the UEFA Champions League with Galatasaray this season despite their tough grouping, Soccernet.ng reports.

The draws for the 2025/26 season of the UEFA Champions League were done in Monaco, France on Thursday. And Galatasaray, who qualified by virtue of winning the Turkish Super Lig last season, were part of it.

Soccer Who Will Galatasaray Face In The UEFA Champions League?

Galatasaray were handed a tough draw, as they will face some European heavyweights in the first round of games.

The Cimbom will face Eintracht Frankfurt, Liverpool, Bodo/Glimt, Ajax, Union SG, Monaco, Atletico Madrid, and Manchester City in their eight first round games.

These clubs are all big clubs, but the games against Liverpool, Atletico Madrid, and City promises to be tougher, due to their quality on paper and their experience in the competition.

The Super Eagles star admits that it’s a tough draw, but he is not fazed by the quality of their opponents as he believes they will be successful.

“We need to work hard and fight. I believe we will be successful in the Champions League,” Osimhen said, per Fanatik.

“I can say it’s (the UEFA Champions League) a tough draw. We want to reach the finals in all competitions. We will do everything for our goals.”

Galatasaray have a lot of experienced squad, as most of the players have played in the Champions League before.

The competition will begin after the international break. The Turkish Champions will play their first game of the 2025/26 Champions League against Eintracht Frankfurt on September 18.
