Lauded British songwriter Jamie Woon returns with two new tracks: ‘Heavy Going…’ and ‘A Velvet Rope’.
The artist seemed to align club tropes, bass frequencies, and more traditional songwriting techniques on his debut album ‘Mirrorwriting’, a landmark release that emerged back in 2011.
Enduringly influential – his breakout single ‘Night Air’ remains a perennial 6 Music spin – Jamie Woon now returns with two new songs.
Out now, ‘Heavy Going…’ and ‘A Velvet Rope’ tap into his after-hours allure, the twilight feel augmented by his understated vocal.
Produced by Jamie in collaboration with Grammy award winning producer Martin Terefe, the tracks feature Dan See (drums) and Dave Okumu (guitar).
‘Heavy Going…’ is spearheaded by Jamie, while ‘A Velvet Rope’ was built alongside Holly Walker and Terefe.
