When and why Italy may want you to prove you're still alive

You’ve heard of a death certificate, but what about a life certificate? In the world of Italian bureaucracy, being asked to prove that you are, in fact, still alive is more common that you might expect.

Good morning, yes but it’s not just in Italy that a living cert is asked for, his is normal in other countries too. I have to prove this regularly for my UK pensions too. Obviously they don’t want to carry on paying out if you are deceased.
