The Plot Thickens! Donald Trump Seemingly Shares Final Thoughts On Whether He’ll Pardon Diddy (VIDEO)

When it comes to Donald Trump and Sean “Diddy” Combs, their history seemingly goes way back—red carpets, flashy parties, and photo ops from the late ’90s to the early 2000s. But, fast forward to now, and it appears that the vibe has definitely changed. The former president is finally speaking out about Diddy’s legal drama… and let’s just say, his answer raised some eyebrows.

Is Trump Going To Pardon Diddy?

Donald Trump is breaking his silence and letting it be known—Sean “Diddy” Combs probably won’t be getting a presidential pardon anytime soon. In a new interview that aired Friday, August 1, on Newsmax, the former president weighed in on Combs’ legal situation for the first time since the music mogul was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges but found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution last month.

When host Rob Finnerty asked if he would consider pardoning Diddy, Trump gave one of his signature responses:

“Well, he was essentially, I guess, sort of half-innocent,” Trump said. “I don’t know what they do, still in jail or something. But he was celebrating a victory, but I guess it wasn’t as good of a victory…”

And, when Trump was asked if his answer was “more likely a no” when it came to a potential Combs pardon, he replied, “I would say so.

Trump Speaks on His Current Relationship With Diddy

In the interview, Trump explained that he was “very friendly” with the Bad Boy Records boss at one point. However, Trump appears to have taken offense at Diddy’s previous comments about him, sharing:

“I got along with him great. Seemed like a nice guy. I didn’t know him well. But, when I ran for office, he was very hostile. … It’s hard. We’re human beings. We don’t like to have things cloud our judgment, right? But, when you knew someone, and you were fine, and then you run for office… he made some terrible statements. So, I don’t know. It’s more difficult,” he added. “Makes it more, I’m being honest, makes it more difficult to do,” Trump revealed.

The Timeline Is Confused, Concerned, & Kinda Shook

The timeline is shook after Trump’s comments about pardoning Diddy. And folks ran to the Newsmax YouTube comments, sharing their thoughts on the matter. Some even claimed it was a distraction tactic to cover up bigger scandals. Others weren’t focused on Diddy at all and instead side-eyed Trump’s tired demeanor during the interview.
