Super Eagles and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman is edging closer to a potential move to Inter Milan, Soccernet.ng reports.

Fresh reports from Italy suggest that negotiations between Atalanta and the Nerazzurri have resumed with renewed confidence.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà via FCInter1908, Inter Milan and Atalanta reopened talks earlier on Monday morning regarding Lookman’s transfer.

Despite Atalanta’s €50 million valuation—€10 million above Inter’s initial €40 million bid—the Serie A champions remain hopeful that an agreement can be reached, especially given Lookman’s firm desire to switch allegiances this summer.

The 27-year-old Nigerian winger is said to have already agreed personal terms with Inter and is now pushing for the move.

Sources close to the player suggest he is eager to hold Atalanta to a promise reportedly made last year, which would allow him to pursue a bigger challenge should a suitable offer arrive.

Soccer Choji Backs Lookman’s Inter Milan Move

Former Nigeria U17 World Cup winner Sambo Choji recently endorsed the move, stating that a fresh start at Inter would benefit Lookman.

“Lookman played really well for Atalanta and even helped them win the Europa League title two years ago. Since that incident with coach Gasperini after the missed penalty, I personally think his mind was no longer entirely on Atalanta. He remained professional and gave his best, but I believe it’s time for a new challenge,” Choji said.

“Inter are a huge club, and they have the type of players who can get the best out of Lookman. I really hope the move goes through—it would benefit him both financially and in terms of his football career.” Choji told Africafoot.

Lookman’s transfer from Atalanta is closely watched, and the fans await official confirmation from either club. Until then, Lookman is still a player of Atalanta.
