Super Eagles and Atalanta forward, Ademola Olajade Lookman, is set for medical checks amidst interest from UEFA Champions League finalists, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 27-year-old had a stellar 2024 with Atalanta, winning the UEFA Europa League after scoring a hat-trick against Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

A year on, Lookman is set to move on from Bergamo, and has drawn interest from several clubs in the English Premier League, La Liga and in Italy.

Inter Milan submitted a €40m offer to Atalanta for the 2024 CAF Player of the Year after agreeing personal terms that’ll see Lookman earn €4m annually should he move to San Siro.

Atalanta rejected Inter’s offer, but Christian Chivu’s side are preparing another offer as La Dea want around €50m for the former Everton forward.

According to FCInterNews, Lookman returned to training with the rest of his Atalanta teammates and suffered a nasty calf injury while kicking a ball in training.

The severity of Lookman‘s injury is currently unknown and he’ll undergo medical tests today to get results.

Lookman will be hoping the injury doesn’t affect his prospective transfer to Inter following the intense transfer speculation recently.

In three years with Atalanta, the England-born Nigerian scored 53 goals and provided 21 assists in 118 games across all competition.
