Digital healthcare platform Practo has started operations in the UAE across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. Within the past 6 to 8 months, the platform has onboarded over 3,000 clinics and made over 31,000 doctors discoverable to users in the region.

The company also said that it has 50,000 monthly active users in the UAE and has captured 10 per cent of Dubai’s population, who are already using Practo.

“Following our achievement of profitability in FY24 and sustained performance with positive cash flows in FY25, we are excited to extend Practo’s reach in the UAE. The initial response in the UAE has been encouraging, and we appreciate the confidence placed in us by both healthcare providers and patients. This is just the beginning as we scale our efforts to improve healthcare outcomes worldwide,” said Shashank ND, Co-founder and CEO, of Practo.

Insurance data

Practo already has integrated insurance data at the establishment level and will make this available at the doctor level by the end of the month.

Practo’s presence in the UAE isn’t entirely new. The company has been operating in the region for over a decade through Insta by Practo, its hospital and clinic management software, which is used by healthcare institutions such as Life Medical Center, Emirates Hospital, and Healthcare Organisation UAE.

Besides these, some of the early clinics and hospitals partnering with Practo include e-Kaya Skin Clinic, Sulaiman Habib Hospital and Clinics, Micris Dental, Smile on Dental Clinic, and Quintinha Hospitals.

10-year presence

This launch builds on Practo’s 10-year presence in the UAE through Insta by Practo that powers operations at leading healthcare institutions across the region, including Life Medical Center, Emirates Hospital, and Healthcare Organisation UAE, to name a few. The company has over 50,000 monthly users already accessing Practo’s platform in the UAE.

The platform operates across 22 countries and connects over 40 crore patients with over 5,00,000 doctors. They have a recorded GMV of Rs 3500 crore every year.
