Requirements:

  • Language: Proficiency in English.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 2 years of experience.
  • Certifications: Mental Health First Aid, First Aid, CPR, Nursing Aide, and Health Care Aide certificates.
  • Security: Basic security clearance.

Physical and Other Requirements:

  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks efficiently.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to distinguish colors.
  • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks such as bending, crouching, kneeling, and a mix of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Dependability, strong interpersonal skills, and effective oral communication.
  • Flexibility, initiative, sound judgment, and organizational skills are crucial.
  • Must be a team player and capable of working well in collaborative environments.

Candidate Status:

  • Applicants must be Canadian citizens or legal residents with a valid work permit.
  • Only candidates meeting the legal work eligibility should apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting patients with daily activities, such as emptying bedpans, checking vital signs, and serving meals.
  • Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and moving patients as needed.
  • Maintaining clean and organized patient rooms, beds, and handling patient transportation within care facilities.
  • Supervising patients’ exercise routines, managing supply inventories, and accompanying patients on outside activities for their comfort and care.
  • Transporting patients via wheelchair or stretcher.
