The women’s final will take place on Saturday, before the men’s final is held on Sunday, with a champion being crowned on the clay.

And here’s what players will receive if they go all the way…

French Open prize money

There is a total prize pot of £47.5million at the French Open, an increase of 5.37% compared to last year’s tournament.

Both the men’s and women’s champions will claim the same amount of money at Roland Garros.

Winners in the singles will take home an incredible £2.1million.

This is more than the Australian Open prize (£1.7m) and slightly less than what it handed out at Wimbledon (£2.7m) and the US Open (£2.6m).

Runners-up in Paris receive just over £1million, while those who lose in the semi-final leave with £586,000.

Quarter-finalists are handed £373,000 for their exploits.

Meanwhile, doubles champions take home £497,000 in both men’s and women’s competitions.

Mixed doubles winners receive £102,000 in prize money.
