Pakistan Banu Kausar Wins Gold Medal, Defeats Indian Rival at Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship

Pakistan’s Banu Kausar won a gold medal at the Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship held in Jordan. She defeated an Indian competitor in the women’s 48 kg category to claim the top prize. This victory is a proud moment for Pakistan and shows the growing strength of the country in jiu-jitsu.

The Pakistani team performed very well overall at the championship. Besides Banu’s gold, other team members also won medals. M Ali Rashid, M Yousuf Ali, Israa Wasim, and Kainat Arif each earned bronze medals in their categories. These achievements reflect the hard work and dedication of the athletes.

Khalil Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Jiu-Jitsu Federation, praised all the players for their effort and success in the competition. He said their performance is a positive sign for the sport’s future in Pakistan. He also thanked the team for representing the country with pride.

The Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship is taking place until May 26. It brings together the best athletes from across Asia to compete in different weight classes and skill levels. Pakistan’s success in this event shows the nation is becoming a strong competitor in the sport.

Tariq Ali, Secretary General of the Pakistan Jiu-Jitsu Federation, highlighted the importance of these wins. He said that such achievements will help promote jiu-jitsu in South Asia and encourage more people to take part in this martial art. The federation hopes that Pakistan’s growing presence will inspire future champions.
