CJ ENM Expands K-Drama Footprint in France with M6+ Streaming Deal (EXCLUSIVE)

Korean entertainment powerhouse CJ ENM is deepening its European footprint with a significant content deal that brings three of its scripted titles to M6+, the streaming platform operated by France’s leading terrestrial broadcaster M6.

The package includes breakout hits “Lovely Runner” and “Way Back Love,” alongside the newly launched “I am a Running Mate,” which debuts on the French platform just days after its Korean premiere.

The arrangement represents the third year of collaboration between CJ ENM and M6, a partnership that launched in 2023 with the addition of premium Korean content including the “Yumi’s Cells” series and “EXchange” to the French platform’s catalog.

“Lovely Runner,” the romantic fantasy drama from CJ ENM Studios, became a global phenomenon following the story of celebrity Ryu Sun-jae and fan Im Sol’s time-traveling mission to save him. The series dominated international charts, topping rankings in 133 countries on Rakuten Viki during its sixth week and maintaining the No. 1 position for six consecutive weeks across 109 territories.

“Way Back Love” offers another romantic fantasy entry, centering on reclusive Hee-wan whose world transforms when childhood friend Ram-woo returns as a grim reaper. The six-episode series garnered critical acclaim for its cinematography and storytelling, earning an invitation to the 29th Busan International Film Festival’s Special Screening section.

The newest addition, “I am a Running Mate,” shifts genres with a sharp coming-of-age drama set against high school politics. The series follows a model student whose entry into a school election as a running mate coincides with a scandal that upends his carefully constructed image, thrusting him into the chaotic world of teenage ambition and politics.
