One of India’s top music labels, Zee Music Company, has surpassed 100 million subscribers on YouTube—a rare milestone achieved by only one other music company, India’s T-Series. The feat further cements Zee Music’s position as a major player in the Indian music scene and worldwide.

YouTube presented Zee Music Company with the prestigious Red Diamond Play Button, an honor granted to the most followed creators on the platform. Zee Music is now the second music label worldwide to receive this award.

Launched only a decade ago, Zee Music rapidly carved out a significant share of the Indian music market. Its catalog is deeply rooted in India’s cultural diversity and regional appeal, with hits like “Kala Chashma,” “Teri Mitti,” “Taras,” and “Uyi Amma.” Zee Music has consistently produced songs that dominate charts and find viral success across platforms.

“Reaching 100 million subscribers is a proud moment for all of us at Zee Music Company,” shared Umesh Kumar Bansal, Chief Business Officer at Zee Music Company and Zee Studios. “It reflects the deep bond we share with music lovers around the world. This milestone is made even more special by our strong partnership with YouTube, which has helped us bring our content to a global stage.”

“Zee Music Company’s incredible growth is a testament to the power of Indian music and its global appeal,” added Sun Lee, Director of YouTube Music for Korea, Greater China, India & South Asia. “Their consistent delivery of high-quality content has created deep cultural resonance worldwide. We’re proud to be part of their journey and excited for what’s ahead.”

Zee Music Company’s growing presence across platforms continues to reflect the influence it has on the soundscape of Indian cinema and contemporary music.
