Soccer Sunday Oliseh drops bombshell: Why Victor Osimhen’s Premier League move is a must-do!

Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has warned Victor Osimhen that he must prioritize a transfer to the English Premier League, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen has consistently been linked with a transfer to England for the past two years. This is due to a string of impressive performances for both Napoli and Galatasaray - where he spent last season on loan.

Over the last three seasons, the Super Eagles striker has registered 85 goals and 17 assists in 112 games for Napoli and Galatasaray.

But unfortunately for Osimhen, he is yet to deal a big transfer. Despite speculations linking him with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool, nothing concrete has happened yet.

Meanwhile, former Nigeria coach Oliseh has been a big supporter of Osimhen. Oliseh coached Nigeria between July 2015 and February 2016, before he was let go after some issues with the NFF.

He has advised Osimhen that he has to move to the Premier League if he wants to stay relevant.

“I think he (Osimhen) is a huge asset to Nigerian football. But like every top asset, we all have our shortcomings. We have to be able to find solutions and work around it,” Oliseh told Lagos Talks.

“This is a player that if he wants to continue to be in the limelight, he has to go to the Premier League.

“Nigerians want to see him there. He has been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea for a long time.

“But for him to play that way, for him to become that big, there are many things he has to change.”

Victor Osimhen has been linked with Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool this summer, but it does not seem like a deal will happen soon.

Arsenal seem to have set their sights on RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko, Chelsea have a rigid policy of signing under-23 players, Liverpool are focused on Hugo Ekitike, while Manchester United don’t seem interested at the moment.

JUST IN from @Buchi_Laba:

• Benjamin Šeško is Arteta’s first option for two years now.

• The problem has never been Šeško but RB Leipzig requesting for too much money.

Soccer What are Victor Osimhen’s options?

As it stands, Osimhen’s future is still in the balance. Nonetheless, the 26-year-old striker has other options, as Galatasaray and Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal desperately want his services.

These clubs are even willing to increase his wages significantly, but Osimhen has not made his decision yet, as he still awaits an offer from the Premier League.

He also can’t play for Napoli again, especially after he was excluded from the team’s plans for last season.

He will hope that the status quo changes soon and he gets his big Premier League move.
