ROG Xbox Ally Gets Price & Release Date Info In ‘Exclusive’ Report

“I’ve been able to find out all this information”

Ever since the ROG Xbox Ally handheld was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase, everyone’s been trying to find out the release date and price for these two devices, and it seems we’ve now got some details to share.

According to YouTuber eXtas1s, they’ve been available to “corroborate” information about the release date and price of the ROG Xbox Ally handheld “through different European retailers”.

“I’ve been able to find out all this information, and I’ve been able to corroborate it through different European retailers who have, so to speak, had meetings with Microsoft where Microsoft has met with them to give them the necessary information to market these new products,”

The release date of the ROG Xbox Ally is apparently landing in October 2025 according to eXtas1s, and it’s set for the second half of the month specifically. Here’s what they had to say about this in their YouTube report:

“The pre-sales of the Xbox [Ally] will open in August. I repeat, the pre-sales, the reservations for both Xbox [devices] will open in August. This is the first exclusive information we have.”

“From what I understand, this machine is going to be released during the month of October, more looking at the second half than the first.”

The price of the ROG Xbox Ally handheld is reported by eXtas1s to be €599 for the white version and €899 for the black version. The black version, as you’re probably aware, is the more powerful “ROG Xbox Ally X” variant.

He advises that both devices may be $100 cheaper in the US, but isn’t sure on that right now. Here’s his quote from the YouTube video about the pricing of the ROG Xbox Ally in Europe:

“The price that retailers are currently handling, and if there’s no drama with this trade war or anything like that… the price of the white ROG Xbox Ally is going to be €599. This is no longer speculation, I have been able to corroborate this with two people who work close to two European retailers.”

“The ROG Xbox Ally X, the black one, is going to cost €899.”

It’s also mentioned that the ROG Xbox Ally is expected to be present at Germany’s Gamescom event in August, and it seems it’ll be playable for anyone who attends the show – not just exclusive to the press.

Of course, none of this is official right now and there’s every chance Microsoft and ASUS are still working things out behind the scenes, so who knows if any of this information will stick. This is the best we have for now, though!
